Will 94.5 inches get up my stairs?

The finished sofa will not, and it does not have to. It arrives as three cartons, each holding one module's frame, feet, cushions and backrest, and it is assembled where it will stand. Measure the narrowest doorway, the hallway at its tightest and the ceiling above the bottom step, then compare those against the carton rather than the 94.5 inch finished width.

What does the 1980 lb rating actually cover?

It is the manufacturer's static figure for the whole sofa, meaning weight resting evenly across the three seats. It says nothing about someone dropping onto one end or standing on the front rail, which puts much higher force through a frame than a resting load.

The boxes arrived on different days. Is that normal?

The maker prints that warning on the listing itself: the three cartons ship separately and may not arrive together. Wait until box A, box B and box E are all with you, because the armrests and the middle module are split across them.
