Ten slats, fastened by hand

The slats carry hook and loop strips rather than screws, so the deck goes together without a screwdriver and the mattress has something to grip. The manufacturer also states the finished frame is noise free.

Six around the sides and six more down the middle of the deck. That is an unusual count for a Full and it is the reason the published capacity is as high as it is. The middle row is what stops the centre dipping where two people meet.

Sponge behind the linen

The grid is stitched through the padding rather than printed on the fabric, so the squares stay square. Behind it is high density sponge, which is what makes the headboard worth leaning on for an hour.
