Are all four seats really the same?

Yes. Every one is an armless 25 in seat, which is what makes the layouts interchangeable. There is no corner piece and no end piece to keep track of.

Does anything hold the seats together?

No clip or strap is supplied. They sit on L shaped foot pads and hold by weight. Clips made for wicker sectionals are available separately if your deck is exposed.

How do I look after the acacia top?

Wipe it down and let it dry. Outdoors it will silver over a season or two unless you treat it with an outdoor wood oil, which is a spring job.

Will it seat four people?

Yes, one per seat. Two of the seats pushed together read as a loveseat at 50 in, so you can also use it as a sofa plus two chairs.
