Will the canopy shade all eight seats?

Open, it measures 15 ft across and 8.5 ft deep over a table of 75 in by 36 in. That leaves roughly 4 ft of cover past each end and about 2.7 ft past each side at midday, which is what puts the two end chairs in shade rather than on the edge of it.

Is the umbrella base supplied?

Yes, a 2.4 ft square tray only 0.5 ft deep. It fills with sand or water, neither of which is included. Sand gives more weight for the same volume and does not have to be drained before a hard freeze.

Do the chairs go under the table?

Not all the way. The backrests are 32 in tall and the tabletop sits at 29 in, so a chair pulls up close but the back stays proud of the edge. Leave 24 in to 30 in behind each chair for pushing back.

How does the acacia weather?

Left alone outdoors, acacia fades to a silver grey over a few seasons without losing strength. Wiping it dry and re-oiling with a wood oil a few times a season is what holds the original colour. The manufacturer publishes no oiling schedule for this set.
