ValuHub is a Canadian online store that brings together products from Canadian makers, established brands and Canadian-based suppliers in one catalogue. Orders ship from within Canada, prices are in Canadian dollars, shipping is free on most orders of $150 or more and a flat $18.90 below that, and most items can be returned within 14 days of delivery. This guide explains how that works in practice β€” including the parts a short FAQ does not have room for, such as why an order can arrive in two boxes, what a return actually costs you, and who handles a warranty claim after the return window closes.

What is ValuHub?

ValuHub is a Canadian online retailer. We source products from a range of manufacturers, distributors and independent Canadian makers, hold them in one catalogue, and ship them to customers across Canada. We are a reseller rather than a manufacturer, which matters for a few things further down this page β€” particularly warranties.

The catalogue is deliberately broad rather than deep in one niche. It spans home and garden, furniture, apparel and skate wear, K-beauty and skincare, bath and body, jewellery, kids and baby, pet supplies, health and mobility, toys and office furniture. A meaningful share of it comes from small Canadian brands and makers: candle studios, woodworkers, natural skincare formulators, knitwear labels and puzzle makers, sold alongside established names.

If you want the short version of who we are, the About ValuHub page covers it in under a minute. The rest of this article is the operational detail.

Where ValuHub orders ship from

The majority of ValuHub items ship from Canadian locations and warehouses. For an order shipped within Canada, that means no customs brokerage fees, no duty collected at the door and no border delay β€” the three things that turn a cheap cross-border order into an expensive one.

Because we work with several suppliers, the specific origin warehouse and dispatch time vary by product. Both are stated on the individual product page, which is the authoritative source for any single item. We ship within Canada only.

Shipping costs and delivery times

Order value Shipping cost
$150 or more Free on most orders
Under $150 Flat $18.90 on most orders

Two exceptions are worth knowing about before you check out:

  • Product-specific shipping terms override the general rule. Where an item carries different terms β€” typically large or heavy furniture β€” those terms are noted on its product page and apply to that item.
  • PO boxes, remote areas and surcharge regions are excluded from standard and free shipping. If your address falls in one, we will contact you about an additional charge or, where delivery is not possible, refund the order.

Orders are typically processed within one to two business days. Delivery time after that depends on the product and the warehouse it leaves from, and the estimate is shown on the product page. A tracking number is emailed once the parcel moves. The full terms are in the ValuHub shipping policy.

Why one order can arrive in more than one box

An order containing items from more than one supplier will usually arrive in separate shipments, on different days, with separate tracking. This is the single thing customers most often ask about, and it is a direct consequence of the multi-supplier model: a candle from a maker in Ontario and a desk from a furniture warehouse are not sitting on the same shelf, so they cannot leave in the same box.

Nothing is missing when this happens. Each shipment gets its own tracking email as it moves. If you would rather receive everything at once, place separate orders for items from different departments, or check the dispatch estimate on each product page before adding to your cart.

How returns actually work

Most items can be returned within 14 days of delivery, but what the return costs you depends entirely on why you are returning it. This is where a lot of online return policies are vague, so here is the plain version.

Situation Who pays return shipping Restocking fee Window
Item arrived damaged, defective, or the wrong product was sent ValuHub None 14 days from delivery
Change of mind, item is unused and in original packaging You (both directions) 15% 14 days from delivery
Item is out of its original packaging Not eligible for return or replacement β€”
Customized or made-to-order product Not eligible for return β€”
Order placed but not yet shipped Cancel for a full refund Within 24 hours of ordering

Two practical takeaways. First, keep the box until you are certain you are keeping the item β€” an item out of its original packaging cannot be returned. Second, if something arrives damaged, photograph it and contact us straight away with the order number; that path costs you nothing, and it is far easier to resolve inside the window than after it. Approved refunds typically take seven to ten business days to appear, depending on your financial institution. Full terms are in the return and refund policy.

What happens after 14 days: warranty claims

Once the 14-day return window closes, any remaining coverage comes from the manufacturer under their own warranty terms, not from ValuHub. As a reseller we do not manufacture these products and do not issue our own warranty.

That is not a dead end. Contact us with your order number and the fault, and we will help you reach the manufacturer and register the claim under their policy. What we cannot do is adjudicate the claim ourselves or promise an outcome the manufacturer controls. Knowing which of the two paths you are on β€” return window or manufacturer warranty β€” is the fastest way to get a problem solved.

How to find things across a very broad catalogue

A catalogue this broad β€” tens of thousands of listings across a dozen departments β€” rewards browsing by department rather than guessing at search terms. These are the main ones:

If you are looking for Start here
Sofas, storage, desks, dining and bedroom furniture Home furnishings
Patio sets, gazebos, garden tools, sheds and outdoor storage Patio and garden
Desks, task chairs and home-office storage Office furniture
Korean skincare, cleansers, serums and sheet masks K-beauty
Skate and streetwear apparel, hoodies, tees and footwear Skate and streetwear
Mobility aids, compression wear and daily living aids Health and mobility
Beds, crates, cat trees and pet accessories Pet supplies
Products from independent Canadian brands and makers New from Canadian brands

Two shortcuts worth bookmarking: Weekly Deals rotates a small set of discounted items, and the Clearance collection is where end-of-line stock lands. Neither is a permanent price β€” both change as stock moves.

How to read a product page before you buy

Because products come from different suppliers, the product page β€” not a category description or a blog post β€” is the source of truth for any individual item. Four things are worth checking every time:

  1. Dimensions and weight. Furniture and patio listings state assembled dimensions. Measure your space first; a 10-foot gazebo needs more clearance than the footprint suggests.
  2. Materials and fibre content. Where a maker publishes fibre content or ingredients, they appear on the page. This is what tells you whether a sweater is alpaca or acrylic, and it matters more than the photo.
  3. Sizing by measurement. Apparel and compression garments are sized to a chart, not to your usual letter size. Check the chart on the listing.
  4. Dispatch estimate and product-specific shipping terms. These vary by supplier and override the general shipping rule.

Frequently asked questions

Is ValuHub a Canadian company?

Yes. ValuHub is a Canadian online retailer selling to customers in Canada, with prices in Canadian dollars and the majority of items shipping from Canadian locations and warehouses.

Does ValuHub ship to the United States?

No. ValuHub currently ships within Canada only.

Will I be charged customs or duty on a ValuHub order?

Not on a domestic order shipped from a Canadian warehouse. Because the majority of our items ship from within Canada, there are no customs charges or cross-border delays on those orders.

Orders containing items from more than one supplier ship separately and can arrive on different days, each with its own tracking number. The rest of your order is still on its way.

Can I return something I have already opened and used?

No. Returns require the item to be unused and in its original packaging, within 14 days of delivery. If the item is damaged, defective or was shipped in error, contact us with photos instead β€” that is handled as a replacement or refund at no cost to you.

Who do I contact about an order?

Email support@valuhub.ca with your order number, or use the contact page. Shorter questions about ordering, sizing and delivery are answered on the ValuHub FAQ page.

Shipping rates, return terms and cancellation windows described here reflect ValuHub’s published policies as of September 2026. The shipping and refund policy pages always carry the current terms.
