What ceiling height does an 8 ft tree need?

Balsam Hill's guide asks for at least 12 inches between the top of the tree and the ceiling, so a nine foot room or higher. Remember the stand lifts the tree and a topper adds more.

Does it really shape itself in three minutes?

That is the manufacturer's claim and the hinge mechanism is genuine, but on the largest size expect to spend a few more minutes evening out gaps. It is still far quicker than fluffing 1370 tips by hand.

How is it different from the 6 ft and 7 ft sizes?

Will the flocking shed?

Some loose flocking comes away at the first setup. Open it out over a sheet, hold the inner branches rather than the tips, and keep water and cleaning sprays off the foliage.

Can two people handle it?

It comes apart into three sections plus the stand, so each piece is manageable alone. Raising the top section on an eight foot tree is easier with a second pair of hands.
