Each tree is four feet tall including its urn, which is 7.5 inches square and 10.5 inches high, and 1.6 feet across at the widest branches. Two of them together take less floor than a single conventional four foot tree on a stand.

A pair, which is the point

One tree is decoration. Two matched trees either side of a door is a composition, and it is the arrangement the manufacturer photographs first. The narrow profile is what makes it possible without blocking the entrance.

100 soft PE tips on each

The foliage is moulded PE in flat cypress fronds rather than the cut PVC needle most artificial trees use, so it hangs softly rather than bristling. A hundred tips is modest, but on a tree this narrow the fronds overlap enough to close the gaps.

Urns, not wire stands

Each tree comes in an antique style urn with iridescent panels and a raised pattern. Nothing has to be covered up, which matters more in a pair than singly: two tree skirts either side of a doorway would look like an accident.

Symmetry is the whole argument for buying two. Either side of a front door, a fireplace or the top of a stair, a matched pair does something a single tree cannot.

A pair flanking an entrance is the standard commercial arrangement, and at 1.6 feet across neither tree narrows the doorway. The urns mean nothing has to be dressed to look finished.

Do both trees come with urns?

Yes. Each tree has its own antique style urn base, which is why they can stand as a pair without either needing a skirt or a stand cover.

Do they come with lights?

No. Both trees are unlit and nothing in the manufacturer's record describes a light string, a controller or an adaptor. Short battery powered strings are the usual answer at this size, since neither tree needs to be near an outlet.

Can they stand outside?

The manufacturer photographs the pair on a covered porch in snow but publishes no weather or ingress rating, so we would keep them under cover. A sheltered porch is a reasonable risk; open weather is not.

How many pairs of gloves are included?

The manufacturer lists one pair for the set, not one pair per tree.

Is the 4 ft measured with the urn?

Yes. The drawing shows 4 ft from the floor to the top of the foliage with the 10.5 inch urn included in that.

What do PE fronds look like compared with PVC needles?

Softer and flatter. PE is moulded rather than cut, so each frond reads as a real cypress spray instead of a fringe of flat strips. It is the more realistic of the two materials up close.
