Flocking sheds when a tree is dragged across a room, shaken out, or handled hard while lights are wound on. Most of what falls on the floor comes off during setup, not during the month it stands there.

The drawing puts it at 7 feet tall and 4.4 feet across, on a stand 20 inches wide. That spread is generous for the height, which is part of why the flocking reads as a proper snow load rather than a dusting. Allow a clear circle nearer five feet, and check the ceiling: guides suggest about a foot above the tip for a topper.

Two leaf types under the snow

The two magnified circles show what is underneath. PE leaves are moulded with a needle shape and carry the outer branches. PVC leaves are flatter and fill in behind. Flocking goes over both, which is why the white sits in clumps at the branch joints and thins towards the tips, the way real snow settles. There are 1164 tips in total.

Eight modes, all named

Combination, in waves, sequential, slo glo, chasing or flash, slow fade, twinkle or flash, and steady on. The switch is an inline controller on the cord. Colour against white flocking behaves differently from colour against green: the light bounces off the snow, so the whole tree takes the tint rather than showing as separate coloured points.

Three sections and a hinge

The top circle shows the hinge that lets every branch swing down on its own as the section is stood up. The bottom shows the tree split into three parts for the cupboard. Setup is stack, plug in, then spend the time on the tips instead of on hooking branches into a pole.

Will the flocking come off?

Some will, and it is worth knowing when. Flocking care guides are consistent: most shedding happens while the tree is being moved, shaken or handled hard, so assemble it in the spot it will stand and handle the branches gently. Dust it with a soft duster rather than a vacuum, working from the top down.

How much space does it need?

Seven feet tall with a 4.4 foot spread, on a 20 inch stand. That is a wide tree for its height, so leave a clear circle of about five feet. Sizing guides suggest a foot of clearance above the tip for a topper, which puts it under an 8 or 9 foot ceiling.

Are the decorations in the photos included?

No. The manufacturer's own room photograph carries a note reading that the decorations are not included. The package is the tree, the crossed metal stand and the adapter with its inline controller.

How should I store a flocked tree?

Take it back to three sections, dust off the loose flocking first, and pack it in a breathable tree bag rather than sealed plastic. Store it somewhere cool and dry: flocking care guides warn against attics and unheated garages where the temperature swings.
