Will the flocking shed?

A little, particularly during setup and decorating. Open the branches out over a sheet, handle the inner branches rather than the tips, and keep water and cleaning sprays off it.

What lights work best on a flocked tree?

Warm white keeps the flocking cream and cosy, cool white keeps it icy, and coloured bulbs read strongly because white reflects rather than absorbs. Look for a CSA, cUL or cETL mark on the string.

How do I store it?

Three hinged sections into a tree bag, somewhere cool and dry and out of direct light. Damp and sunlight are what damage flocking over the years.

Is the stand metal?

Yes, an X shaped iron stand which the manufacturer describes as wear and breakage resistant, rather than the moulded plastic base these trees often get.
