Do the covers come off?

Yes, all three per chair. The seat cushion, back cushion and lumbar pillow each have a zipped cover that pulls off for washing. Outdoor cushion guidance is consistent that foam holds damp for days once soaked, so being able to separate the parts is what saves them.

Is the frame plastic or metal?

Metal. The manufacturer describes it as a heavy duty metal frame, with hand woven PE rattan wrapped around it. The weave is the finish and the metal carries the 400 lb rating.

Can the set stay out over a Canadian winter?

The frame and the weave will take it. Canadian patio guidance puts PE rattan over metal in the leave-it-out group, with a cover to keep it looking newer. Cushions are the part that suffers, so get them dry and bring them in. Glass tops are best kept clear of an eave where ice can drop on them.

Is the glass table safe outdoors?
