The cushion, and how to wash it

Resilient sponge under a cover that unzips, with one line most brands leave out: hand wash recommended. Follow it and a cream cushion lasts a great deal longer.

What is a cross bungee seat?

Elastic rope strung in a criss cross across the seat frame, under the cushion. It gives a little as you sit, where a solid panel does not, and it lets air and water through.

Can the cushion covers go in the machine?

The manufacturer recommends hand washing, and we print that rather than easier advice. The covers do unzip, so hand washing them is straightforward. Dry them flat out of direct sun.

What care does the acacia need?

The maker asks you to treat the wood surface with maintenance oil regularly, and says the oil is not included. Skipping it turns the wood silver grey, which changes the look rather than the strength.
