Is it really black, or very dark green?

Black. The specification lists the colour as black and every photograph shows it black against both light and dark backgrounds.

Will it hold ornaments?

Small ones. The manufacturer describes the tips as thickened and able to carry small ornaments, and the top section is reinforced for a light topper. Heavy glass is asking a lot of a three foot tabletop tree.

How much space does it need?

17.5 inches across at the widest and 36 inches tall. Measure the depth of the table or counter first, since the width is what runs out.

Does it come with lights?

No. It is unlit by design, which is what lets it change theme between October and December. Any string you add should carry a CSA, cUL or cETL mark, which is what Health Canada advises shoppers to look for.
