10 FT Outdoor Patio Umbrella with Solar LED Lights and Weighted Base-Red

Eight heavy metal ribs, a vent cut into the crown and two fillable weight bags on the stand: this red umbrella is built around staying put on a breezy afternoon. The canopy cranks out to 10 feet, tilts 30 degrees either way on a button, and carries 32 solar LED beads for the hours after the sun goes.

The first gust of the afternoon

A big canopy behaves like a sail

Ten feet of fabric catches a lot of air. On an unweighted stand a light umbrella tips, skids across the paving or folds a rib, usually while nobody is watching it.

Weight at the bottom, a hole at the top

Two fillable bags take up to 88 lb of sand or gravel on the four arm stand, and the vent at the crown lets a gust climb out through the canopy instead of lifting it. Eight heavy ribs hold the shape. Wind it shut with the crank when the weather really turns.

What the frame looks like

Side on you can count the ribs and see where the load goes. Eight of them spread the red canopy to 10 feet, the pole runs down to a four arm stand, and the two black bags on that stand are what you fill. The scalloped hem is trimmed in cream against the red.

Ribs, pockets and the vent

The underside view earns its place. Eight ribs, each tip sitting in a stitched fabric pocket so it cannot chafe through the cover, and the vent opening at the middle of the crown. That vent is the difference between air passing through the canopy and air pushing against all of it.

Room for six around the table

Set over a garden table the canopy reaches well past the edge of the top, which is what a 10 foot cover is for. Size guides pair it with a round table of about 60 inches and six seats. Standing underneath you have 6.7 feet to the rim and 8.2 feet at the middle.

Still useful at ten at night

After dark the beads trace the ribs and light the seating underneath. The charge comes from the panel at the crown, so there is no cord to run and nothing to unplug when it rains. Flip the switch on the pole when you want it on.

What you get

Two weight bags supplied

The stand arrives with two fillable bags that hold up to 88 lb of sand or gravel between them. Nothing else to buy on day one.

32 solar LED lights

Beads run down every rib, charged by the panel on the crown. A switch on the pole turns them on, with no cord and no outlet.

One push button tilt

Press once and the canopy pivots up to 30 degrees left or right, which is how you chase low sun without moving furniture.

Crank open, crank shut

A smooth crank raises and drops the 10 foot cover, so closing it when the wind turns takes seconds.

Eight metal ribs

Eight heavy-duty ribs hold the canopy shape, each sitting in a fabric pocket that keeps the tip from chafing the cover.

Vented crown

The vent at the top lets a gust pass up through the canopy instead of lifting the whole of it.

Tool free pole

The two pole sections meet on a push button connector, so setup needs no spanner and no hardware bag.

Scalloped hem

The canopy finishes in a ruffled edge with contrast piping rather than a plain straight hem.

How it compares

How a lit centre-pole umbrella with its own ballast compares with the two alternatives most shoppers weigh against it. General category guidance, not lab testing.

Who is this perfect for?

A table that already has the hole

Drop the pole through your table's centre opening and let the weight bags sit on the stand below for extra hold.

Renters and small yards

Nothing is bolted down. Empty the bags, unclip the pole at the push button joint and the whole thing moves with you.

Long summer evenings

The lights come on with a switch rather than a timer, so the table is usable after dark without stringing a cord out.

Frequently asked questions

How windy is too windy?

No wind speed rating is published for this umbrella, so we will not invent one. The manufacturer's own advice, and standard advice for any patio umbrella, is to crank it closed and strap it before you leave the yard or before a front comes through. The vent and the eight ribs help on an ordinary breezy day, not in a storm.

What comes in the box for holding it down?

Two fillable weight bags, which sit on the four arms of the stand and take up to 88 lb of sand or gravel between them. Fill them on site, because they are far easier to carry empty. If the umbrella stands free on an exposed deck rather than dropping through a table, treat 88 lb as the minimum and add a heavier stand underneath.

What size table does the canopy suit?

Ten feet across covers a round table of roughly 60 inches and about six chairs, with enough fabric past the edge that the seats stay shaded when the sun moves off centre. Headroom is 6.7 feet at the rim and 8.2 feet at the crown, on a 1.5 inch pole.

How do I put it away for winter?

Wind it closed with the crank, wrap the fixing strap around the folded canopy and let the fabric dry right through before it goes anywhere. Canadian care guides all say the same thing: snow load bends ribs and trapped damp brings mildew, so the canopy should never be packed away wet.
