Description

10 FT Cantilever Patio Umbrella with Solar LED Lights 360° Rotation-Brown

Six tilt steps and a full circle of rotation are the two controls that matter on this brown cantilever, because between them the shade can follow the sun from lunch to sunset. The canopy runs 10 feet across on a two tier vented top, solar LEDs trace the ribs, and a 40 inch cross base comes in the carton.

Shade that gives up at four

The sun moves, the umbrella does not

You set the shade at noon and it is perfect. Two hours later the light is coming in low from the west and half the table is in it. Most umbrellas answer that with nothing at all, or with a single small tilt.

Two adjustments, not one

The arm steps through six tilt levels, so the canopy can drop and lean into low light. Separately, the foot pedal at the base lets the whole canopy swing right around the post. Between the two you can put 10 feet of shade almost anywhere within reach of the arm.

Brown sits quietly against decking and stone. What sets this model apart is not the colour, it is how many ways the canopy moves.

The arm and the brace

Look at the top of the post. The arm runs out horizontally and a diagonal strut ties it back, making a triangle. That brace is the reason a 10 foot canopy hanging entirely off one side does not nod every time the wind moves. The cross frame at the bottom is the 40 inch base in the box.

Sized against a real table

Over a four seat wooden table the canopy runs well past the edge on every side, which is what you want so the chairs stay covered when the sun is off centre. Guides pair a 10 foot cover with a round table of roughly 60 inches, seating about six. Headroom is 6.4 feet at the rim, 8.4 feet at the crown.

Turning it takes seconds

Press the pedal, hold the post, turn. That is the whole procedure for moving the shade, and it works with the furniture still underneath and the base still loaded. Compare that with lifting and dragging a weighted stand across the paving every time the light shifts.

After the sun has gone

The LED beads run the length of each rib with a brighter light at the hub, and they are charged by the panel on the arm. The manufacturer rates it at roughly 6 to 8 hours from a full day's charge. There is no cord in this picture, which on a rooftop matters more than most places.

What you get

Six tilt levels

The arm steps through six positions, so you can drop the canopy low against late sun or raise it for headroom.

Foot pedal rotation

Step on the pedal at the base, hold the post and turn. The canopy goes right around without the base shifting.

Solar lighting with a centre light

LED beads follow the ribs and a brighter light sits at the hub. About 6 to 8 hours after a full day's charge.

Two tier vented canopy

The top is built in two layers with a gap between them, so air climbs out of the canopy rather than pushing it.

Triangle braced arm

A diagonal brace ties the arm back to the post. It is the joint that stops a long overhang nodding in the wind.

Cross base in the box

A 40 inch square cross frame ships with it. The weighted base that sits on top of it is bought separately.

One click switch

The lights are on a single switch rather than a sensor, so they come on when you sit down, not at dusk.

Measured off the drawing

Canopy 10 ft across, 8.4 ft to the crown, 6.4 ft under the rim, cross base 40 in square.

How it compares

Who is this perfect for?

Corner sofa sets

A sectional has no hole to take a pole. The arm reaches over the whole group and the post parks behind it.

West facing yards

Six tilt levels and a full circle of rotation are what you want when the worst sun of the day arrives at six.

Late dinners outdoors

Solar beads on the ribs and a centre light at the hub give you 6 to 8 hours after a good day of charging.

What we stand behind

  • The six tilt levels and the foot pedal rotation are both stated in the manufacturer's own material and shown in its photography.
  • Rib count and LED count are withheld because the record gives conflicting numbers for both.
  • Ships from a Canadian warehouse, free shipping over $150.
  • 14 day returns, unused and in the original packaging.

Frequently asked questions

How do the six tilt levels work?

The arm carrying the canopy steps through six fixed positions rather than sliding freely, so it locks where you leave it. Lower settings lean the canopy into low sun; higher settings give more headroom under the rim. It is a separate control from the rotation.

Does a weighted base come with it?

The 40 inch cross frame is included. The weighted base is not, and this product's own dimension drawing recommends 90 lb. Sizing it properly matters more on a cantilever than on a centre-pole umbrella, because the whole canopy load sits off to one side of the post.

What does the two tier top actually do?

The crown is built as a small upper canopy over a gap in the main one. Wind pushing up under the umbrella escapes through that gap instead of trying to lift the entire cover, which steadies it on a gusty afternoon. Close the umbrella anyway in genuinely bad weather.

How should it be stored over winter?

Crank it closed, let the canopy dry right through, wipe the post down and keep it somewhere dry. Canadian care guides agree on the two things that finish a patio umbrella: snow sitting on an open canopy, and fabric folded away while it is still damp.
