This is the two seat build of a modular range whose seat modules, armrests and backrests are all separate parts. The same 29.5 inch module is what the three and four seat versions are made of, so the sofa is a starting point rather than a finished decision.

Where the two halves meet

Springs and legs

Under the foam is a distributed elasticity system, a grid of serpentine springs clipped together across the frame. That is the part that decides whether a seat still holds its shape in year five. The legs are powder coated metal with anti slip pads.

Does this one have the charging socket?

No. The socket and USB ports live in the steel backrest module, which is part of the three and four seat builds. The family description says as much in brackets, and there is no socket anywhere in this sofa's own photographs. If charging matters, the three seat build is the smallest one that has it.

Is a 25.5 inch seat too deep?

It depends on your height. Twenty-five and a half inches lets most adults sit back with their knees still bent at the front edge only if they are around five foot eight or taller. Shorter than that and you either put your feet up or add a lumbar cushion, which is what the two bolsters are for.

Will it fit through a doorway?

Carton dimensions are not published, but the sofa arrives as two boxes rather than one and the finished piece is 31 inches deep. That depth is the number to compare against the narrowest opening, since a module travels on its side. Measure the stair turn, not just the door.

What does 660 lb per seat mean?

It is a static rating. It describes weight resting evenly on one seat module, which is a statement about the frame and the leg mounts. It is not a guarantee about how the foam will feel after several years of daily use.
