Most trees are three jobs, not one: build the tree, wind on a light string that may or may not still work, then clip on enough berries and picks to stop it looking bare. That is an evening, and the light string is the part that goes wrong.

This one arrives pre-lit and pre-decorated. The 350 LEDs are wired in behind globe bulb covers and the 41 berry clusters are already fixed through the branches, so the three sections stack, the hinged branches drop and lock themselves into place, and the tree is finished as soon as it is spread.

A white flocked tree disappears against a white wall and comes alive against wood, grey or deep colour. Think about the wall behind it before the ornaments that go on it.

Is it white or is it green underneath?

It is pale all the way through. The PVC leaves are white with lake blue mixed in, and the snow flocking sits on white PE twigs, so there is no green showing when the branches are spread.

Will the flocking come off?

Some will, mostly while you are spreading the branches for the first time. Put a sheet down for the first setup and vacuum once afterwards. It settles down sharply after the first season.

Are the berries removable?

They are fitted through the branches rather than clipped on, so treat them as part of the tree. Forty-one clusters on this size, thirty-three on the 6 ft version.

What are the globe bulb covers for?

They sit over each LED and spread the light into a soft ball instead of a sharp point. On a pale tree that matters more than it would on a dark green one, where a bare bulb tends to glare.

What ceiling height do I need?

Seven feet of tree plus the stand and a topper, so a standard eight foot ceiling works with a modest topper and nine feet is comfortable. The 6 ft version in this range is the answer for a lower room.

How is it assembled?

Three sections stack onto the base. The branches are on flexible hinges that lock automatically into position as each section opens, and the foldable base arrives with its screw already fitted. Spreading the 855 tips is the part that takes the time.

Can I replace a bulb?

The string is factory-wired into the branches and no spare bulb or fuse specification is published, so we cannot promise individual bulb replacement. LED strings of this type are normally wired so one failed bulb does not darken the rest.
