Green cable draped over the front of the branches is obvious in a lit room, and no amount of arranging hides it once it has been noticed. It is the usual compromise for having the lights already fitted.

The manufacturer routes the cable inside the foliage rather than across it, which it calls hidden light wiring. Switched off, the tree reads as a plain green tree. Switched on, the bulbs appear without the cable that feeds them.

925 tips and 61 cones

Thick PE leaves on the outside, lifelike PVC through the interior, and 61 pine cones set among them. The cones are fixed rather than clipped on, so they arrive already placed and do not need arranging after the branches are spread.

460 bulbs with the cable out of sight

The close up is the point of this graphic. The bulbs are visible and the wire that feeds them is not, because it runs behind the branch rather than over it. The adapter is stated UL certified by the manufacturer.

How long does it take to set up?

The manufacturer says 45 to 60 minutes to reach a full shape. That is honest for a tree of 925 tips and it is time spent spreading branches, not assembling sections.

How long is the cord?

4.9 ft, which is short. Measure to the nearest socket before deciding where the tree will stand, and plan for an extension lead if it is a corner placement.

Are the pine cones attached?

Yes, all 61 are fixed into the foliage rather than clipped on, so they come out of the box already placed.

What happens if a bulb fails?

On many pre-lit trees a single damaged bulb can take out a whole strand. Test the strands before decorating, while the branches are still easy to reach.
