Is 270 branch tips enough for a seven foot tree?

It is a low count by category standards, and it is deliberate. This is a slim tree at 2.9 ft across, so the same tips cover a much smaller cone than they would on a full profile tree.

What are the eight lighting modes?

Do the fibre optics need separate power?

No. They run from the same adaptor as the LED lights and change with the mode you select.
