How long does it take to set up?

The manufacturer's own instruction is to allow 30 minutes for fluffing after the three sections are stacked. That is a fair figure for 2128 tips, and their before and after photograph shows what the half hour buys you.

Is 750 lights a lot for eight feet?

It is a high count. Many pre-lit trees at this height carry 400 to 500. The practical difference is that the glow reaches into the tree rather than stopping at the outer branches, which is what stops a big tree looking hollow.

What ceiling height do I need?

Ten feet is comfortable. Sizing guides suggest about a foot between the tip and the ceiling for a topper, and the stand lifts the tree a little further. Under a nine foot ceiling it will fit with a flat topper. Under eight feet it will not stand.
