Four colours together

The colour setting runs red, blue, orange and yellow at the same time rather than cycling through them one at a time, which is why it reads as a traditional multicolour tree. The warm white setting uses the same bulbs, switched on the controller.

How many lights and tips does it have?

The manufacturer does not publish either figure for this size, although they do for the 5, 6 and 8 ft trees in the same family. Rather than estimate, we leave both out. What is published is the lighting itself: two colours and eleven modes on a UL certified adapter.

What ceiling height do I need?

An eight or nine foot ceiling suits a seven foot tree. Sizing guides suggest leaving about a foot between the tip and the ceiling for a topper, which lands comfortably under a standard eight foot ceiling.

How long does it take to put up?

The frame is quick because the branches are hinged. Spreading the tips is the slow part, and the manufacturer's own before and after photograph shows why it matters. Work bottom section upward rather than all at once.
