4 FT Pre-Lit Snow Flocked Slim Pencil Christmas Tree with 100 LEDs and 11 Modes

In a flat, a rented room or a hallway, a traditional tree spreads three or four feet across and lands in front of a radiator, a door or a sofa. Most of the year that floor is doing something else.

This one keeps a full four feet of height inside an 18 inch width, standing on a 10 inch square metal plate. It fits beside a door, in an alcove or on a landing, and the flocked tips still read as a proper tree from across the room.

Four feet tall, eighteen inches wide

The drawing gives 4 FT of height against a 1.5 FT spread, on a 10 by 10 inch metal plate. Pencil trees are usually quoted at 19 to 23 inches across the bottom, so this sits at the narrow end of that range. A pair of gloves and the adapter are shown alongside.

Eleven modes and two colours

The mode list is printed in full: combination, C1 steady on, C2 steady on, C1 mixture, C2 mixture, slo glo, breathing, C1 slo glo, C2 slo glo, flash and in wave. C1 is warm white and C2 is colourful. Every mode carries the same timer, six hours on and eighteen hours off.

What the flocking does to the light

The panels pick out the parts: 100 LEDs, 225 branch tips and white flocking over all of them. Flocking matters more on a narrow tree than a wide one. It bounces the light back out instead of letting it disappear into dark green, so a small number of bulbs goes further.

In a real room, in colour

Standing in a corner between a fireplace and a chair, the tree takes almost no floor. In C2 the bulbs run through colour across the white flocking. Note the ornaments in the photograph are not included.

Will a pencil tree hold my ornaments?

Small and light ones, yes. Deep heavy baubles are a different matter, because the branches are short and close to the trunk by design. If you have a large collection, a full profile tree of the same height will carry it better.

What is the difference between C1 and C2?

C1 is warm white and C2 is multicolour. Several of the eleven modes are listed separately for each, for example C1 steady on and C2 steady on, so both colours get the same behaviours.

How does the timer work?

It runs six hours on and then eighteen hours off, and the manufacturer states it applies to every lighting mode. That means it restarts at the same hour each evening.

Does the flocking shed?

Some will, mostly when you first shape the branches. Open it out over a sheet, keep water and cleaning sprays off it, and store it cool and dry so the white does not yellow.
