Bark, not needles

There are no needles on this one. It is a bare white trunk with fine branches, printed with the black flecks that birch bark has, on a square base carved to look like a cut stump. Unlit it reads as a winter twig arrangement rather than a Christmas tree.

24 lights, spread thin on purpose

The bulbs sit at the ends of the branches with plenty of dark twig between them, which is what makes a twig tree look like frost rather than a lit shrub. Warm white keeps it soft next to wood and brass.

Bend it into the shape you want

Every branch is on a wire core, so you can open the tree out for a wide shelf or draw it in narrow for a windowsill. Bend a few tips upward and it takes ornaments: small glass drops or paper stars, nothing heavy.

Does it need to be plugged in?

No. It runs on 3 AA batteries in a box built into the base, switched on and off from the side. That is what makes it usable on a table centre or a windowsill with no outlet nearby.

Can I hang ornaments on it?

Light ones. The branches are wire cored and bend upward to hold a hook, which suits small glass drops, paper stars or a few ribbons. It is not built for a heavy ornament collection.
