The base is a single disc 23.5 inches across and the tree reaches 51 inches. The top perch is 18.5 by 13 inches, the avocado perch 13 inches wide, the second level sits at 28.5 and the wide platform of 14 by 11.5 inches at 15.5. Because the base is circular, the tree can be approached from any side and nothing sticks out into a walkway at a corner.
Jute rather than sisal
The posts are wrapped in jute, which is softer under the paw than sisal and sheds less as it wears. It is the usual trade: jute gives a gentler surface and sisal lasts longer under a heavy scratcher. Alongside the posts there are spring mounted toys shaped like small avocados, which bend and snap back rather than swinging on a cord.
