The manufacturer counts the space as four suitcases, four quilts, twenty pairs of shoes or ten storage boxes. All of it sits under a closed deck rather than behind drawer fronts, so nothing collects dust between seasons.

Ribbed from every angle

Corduroy runs vertically on the headboard and horizontally along the base rails, so the light catches the two surfaces differently. Closed, the bed shows no handle, no gap and no drawer, only the upholstery, which is the whole reason to choose a lift up frame over one with drawer fronts down each side.

Strap first, struts after

You pull the strap at the foot to start the deck moving and the gas struts take over. They also control the way down, which matters on a deck carrying a mattress. Two stoppers hold that mattress in place while the frame is open, and the published lifting capacity for the system is 110 lb.
