The deck inside the rails is 76 by 39 inches and takes a standard Twin of 38 by 75. Above it the guardrail measures 12 inches. The published mattress limit is 6 inches thick, and that is what keeps the rail standing properly clear of a sleeping child instead of level with the bedding.
Twenty colours, 22 modes
The LED strip is set from a remote with 20 colours and 22 moving modes, plus speed and brightness. Turned down it makes a reasonable night light, and turned up it is the reason most children choose this bed over a plain frame.
Two shelves and four boards
Each bookcase is 30 inches wide and 9.5 inches deep with 8 inch openings, enough for picture books standing up. The four chalkboard panels wrap the sides of the bed. The shelves are not bolted to the frame, so they can move out of the cabin layout later.
