Seventy seven by forty two
That is under four feet of width for a 39 by 75 inch Twin mattress. The headboard is 39 inches across, matching the mattress, and 39 inches from the floor with a 10 inch gap above the deck. Twelve inches of clear floor sits under the rails.
One drawer, not two
The Twin version carries a single drawer, 29.5 inches front to back by 20 wide with 5 inches inside, on smooth casters. Its front is upholstered like the headboard, so with the drawer shut the bed looks like a plain platform.
Twelve inches beside the drawer
Because there is only one drawer, most of the space under a Twin stays open at 12 inches. Boxes stand upright in it and a vacuum head reaches the middle of the floor.
Slats that buckle in
Steel slats that buckle into the rails rather than resting loose, which is both quicker to build and quieter afterwards. No box spring is needed on top of them, and the deck is recessed inside the rails so a Twin mattress does not travel toward the foot of the bed.
