The headboard is a run of horizontal boards with an L-shaped metal shelf across the top, wide enough to stand a picture frame on. Below it are two mains outlets, two USB ports and four lined drawers on a frame rated at 1000 lb.

Where the eighty inches go
The frame is 80 inches long for a 54 by 75 inch Double, with the headboard 40 inches from the floor. The shelf on top is 4 inches deep and there is an 8 inch gap between the lowest board and the mattress deck. Each of the four drawers is 31 by 20.5 inches with 4.5 inches inside.
A shelf, not just a top rail
The L-shaped tubes at the top of the headboard form a ledge 4 inches deep. It takes framed photographs, a small plant or a phone standing up, which on a bed with no nightstand beside it is the difference between having somewhere to put things and not.
Two sockets and two USB ports
Rated by the manufacturer at 125V 15A for the mains outlets and 5V up to 2.1A for the USB ports, with a UL mark shown on the panel. They sit recessed into the headboard rather than standing proud behind the pillows.
Lined drawers on directional wheels
The comparison on the panel is with an open wire basket. These are fabric lined boxes on wheels that swivel, so a loaded drawer turns out from under the bed rather than dragging straight. Four of them at 31 inches deep is a lot of folded storage.
