The frame runs 81 inches long with the headboard 56 inches across and 40 inches from the floor. Under the rails there are 11.5 inches, which is enough for the drawers plus a case beside them. The published capacity for this size is 880 lb, and the Queen version of the same bed is rated higher.

Drawers that fold away

These are fabric drawers on a frame rather than rigid boxes. The inset shows one collapsed flat. If a season comes when you do not need all four, two of them fold down and go in a cupboard instead of sitting empty under the bed.

Twelve slats, and foam where they land

Twelve metal slats over extra middle legs, with foam fitted where the deck bears on the rails. On a metal bed that foam is the single detail that decides whether you hear the frame at night. No box spring is needed on top.

Two tiers and four ways to plug in

Two mains outlets, a USB port and a Type-C port sit in a recess under the shelf, on a 4.9 foot cord. Above them the headboard has two levels of shelving, lit from behind by the LED channel.
