Can it replace a dehumidifier?

Its dry mode is rated at up to 118 pints a day, which is higher than most standalone dehumidifiers sold for domestic use. Unlike a dehumidifier it also vents its heat outside through the exhaust hose rather than releasing it back into the room, which is the usual complaint about running a dehumidifier in summer.

Does it need a dedicated circuit?

It runs on a standard 115V, 60Hz household socket, but it draws 12 A while cooling and 11 A while heating. That is close to the continuous limit of an ordinary 15 amp circuit, so use a wall outlet of its own and avoid sharing with other heavy appliances.

How much heating will it give?

Which cooling figure should I use for sizing?

The SACC rating of 10,800 BTU. ASHRAE 15,000 BTU comes from a fixed laboratory test, and Danby notes the seasonally adjusted number is generally lower for the same machine. The 800 sq ft cooling area is the manufacturer's own figure and sits at the optimistic end.
