The headboard is 58 inches across and sits at 43 or 46 inches from the floor, with shelf openings of 13.5 and 6.5 inches. The mattress is a 54 by 75 inch Double and there are 11.5 inches under the rail. The drawing gives the overall length as 87 inches, which is longer than the Queen version of the same bed claims, so treat 87 inches as the number to leave room for.
The lid on the headboard
The whole top panel lifts on gas struts, with soft close hinges and a magnetic catch to hold it shut. Inside is a closed compartment the length of the headboard. Two fabric pockets hang on the outsides of the frame for a phone or a remote.
Light you can time
Sixty thousand colours, set from the remote or a phone app, with music and microphone modes that move the light with sound. The timer shuts the strip off after one to four hours, which is the setting that actually gets used.
