The Root Collection version of Taiga's AWEN board: 10'0" long, 33" wide, finished in natural Paulownia wood veneer instead of a painted deck. It weighs 27 lbs and carries up to 250 lbs of paddler and gear.

This is the same 10-foot, stability-first AWEN shape as Taiga's colour finishes, but left in a natural wood veneer instead of paint. The width and volume are built around balance, so the board feels steady whether you're standing, sitting, or trying a yoga pose on the water. Since the Root Collection skips the painted colour options, it's sold as a single default finish rather than a choice of Burgundy, Turquoise or Off White, which also means one fewer decision if you'd rather just pick the wood grain and be done.

Wood veneer, wide stance

The natural Paulownia veneer top and bottom pair with the same 33-inch-wide, 191-litre shape as the standard AWEN, so the stability is identical, just without paint. The tan deck pad and mountain logo mark the standing area, with bungee cords near the nose for a small dry bag or a rolled towel.

Built to live outdoors

At 27 lbs it's light enough to carry down to the water solo, and the 250 lb capacity leaves room for a cooler or a dog on board.
