Each chair is 23 in wide and 21 in deep with the seat 16 in from the ground. The table in this photograph is a separate product and does not come with them. What arrives is the two chairs and their four cushions.

Four cushions, all removable

Both a seat and a back cushion on each chair, which is more than most outdoor dining chairs carry. The manufacturer picks out soft and elastic filling, smooth zippers for washing, and fixing ties that hold the pads to the frame.

What holds it up

A heavy duty metal frame in a sled shape rather than four separate legs, with firm screw connections and acacia slats forming the arms and sides. That is where the 400 lb per chair figure comes from, rather than from the timber.

Does a table come with these?

No. This order is two armchairs and their four cushions. The wooden table in several of the photographs is sold separately.

Will they work at a standard dining table?

The seat sits 16 in from the ground, which suits a 29 in to 30 in tabletop. The back is 25.5 in tall overall, lower than a formal dining chair, so they read more like patio armchairs pulled up to a table.

Do the cushions come off?

Yes. Both the seat and the back cushion have covers with smooth zips, and fixing ties hold the pads to the frame while they are on.

What upkeep does the wood need?

The manufacturer asks that the wood surface is oiled regularly. The oil is not included, and the cushions should come indoors when the weather turns.
