This is untreated solid acacia and the manufacturer lists paintable as one of its properties. Oil it and it stays honey coloured. Leave it and it silvers. Paint or stain it and it becomes whatever you want, which is not an option a resin or powder coated set gives you.

Three chairs down each long side and one at each end. Each side place gets roughly 26.5 in of table edge, past what a setting takes, and the 35 in width leaves a strip down the centre for serving once all eight places are laid.

Can I really paint it?

The manufacturer lists DIY paintable among the properties of the wood, which means it arrives bare rather than sealed. Any exterior wood primer and paint system will take on it. Doing so is your decision and is outside anything the manufacturer warrants.

Do the chairs come with cushions?

No. The seats and backs are slatted acacia and nothing soft is included. Seat pads are a separate purchase and will raise the seat by whatever they are thick.

What upkeep does it need?

The manufacturer asks for wax oil on the wood regularly and says to avoid rain exposure. If you would rather it went silver, leaving it alone is a legitimate choice for acacia, but the timber will weather faster uncovered.
