The maker's panel opens the cushion up: high density sponge inside, a removable cover outside, with the fabric labelled ergonomic, skin friendly and washable in their wording. Each cushion measures 18 in by 19 in and is 2.3 in thick.

The wood, up close

Acacia turns up twice: the slatted tabletop and every armrest. The blocks run in short lengths across the top rather than as one board, which is how a wooden outdoor top stays flat through wet and dry spells. The maker calls the wood burr free.

Do the cushion covers come off?

Yes. Each seat cushion has a zipped cover that lifts away from the sponge, which is the only realistic way to clean an outdoor cushion properly. The manufacturer describes the fabric as washable. No fabric weight or fibre content is published, so follow a cool wash and air dry.

How much room is there for legs?

The tabletop sits at 29 in and the seats at 17 in, leaving 12 in between them. Furniture height guides put comfortable dining clearance at about 10 in to 12 in, so this pairing is at the roomy end. Chair depth is 23 in, so allow another 2 ft behind each seat to push back.

Is the red likely to fade?

The manufacturer describes the canopy fabric as sun resistant and the rattan as fade resistant. Neither claim comes with a rating, and no UV figure is published anywhere on this record, so treat them as their wording. Winding the canopy down when the table is not in use is the practical answer.
