What does the 6.2 CEER figure tell me?

It is the combined energy efficiency ratio: cooling output divided by electricity drawn, standby included. Two units with the same BTU rating can differ noticeably at the meter, and CEER is the number that separates them.

Which BTU number should I size my room from?

The SACC figure, 5,000 BTU. It is the seasonally adjusted rating that reflects real cooling season conditions, and Danby notes it comes out lower than the ASHRAE laboratory number for the same machine.

Does the window kit fit a narrow window?

Its range is 36 to 49 inches, which is wider than most kits in this category manage. A small bedroom or basement window may be below that, so measure the opening first.

Can I run it without draining it?

In dry or moderate weather there is often very little water to deal with. In humid conditions, fit the 10 ft drain hose and route it to a floor drain, and you will not have to empty anything.
