Will 180 lights cover six feet?

Evenly, yes, though it is a gentle level rather than a bright one. A narrow tree needs far fewer bulbs than a full one to look lit all the way round, because there is less surface to cover.

How much floor space does it need?

A 16 inch stand and a 1.5 ft branch spread, so about eighteen inches square. That is why pencil trees suit hallways and small flats.

Can I add my own lights as well?

Yes. Keep the total load on one outlet sensible, which is what Health Canada warns about, and switch everything off before bed.

What ceiling height does it need?

Seven feet or more is comfortable. Guides suggest about twelve inches of clear air above the tip before a topper goes on.
