Most light controllers forget

Press the button, cycle past nine settings you do not want, find the one you like. Switch the tree off at the wall and the whole thing starts again the next night.

A memory that holds the last setting

This one saves where you left it. Switch it on and it comes back in the same mode, at the same brightness, in the same colour. Three timer patterns then handle the rest of the evening on their own.

5 ft tall, 3.3 ft wide, on an 18 inch stand. That is a full profile at this height, so allow a floor circle of three and a half feet. Two pairs of gloves come with it, which 844 stiff tips will justify.

Warm white, then colour, same tree

The two panels show the same branches under each setting. Warm white for an ordinary evening, colour when there are people in the house. That is what the two channels are for, and the remote switches between them from across the room.

Does the memory survive being unplugged?

The manufacturer describes a smart memory function that saves your last setting so the display is ready when you switch on. No detail is given about what happens after a long period unplugged, so we will not promise more than that.
