Four hundred shelled bulbs

The day and night pair shows the effect. The bulbs sit inside shaped plastic shells so they look like small ornaments in daylight, and the shell spreads each point of light at night rather than leaving a hard dot.

Three sections, and gloves you will use

Three sections plus the base. Branches stay hinged to their poles and fall open as each part is raised. Two pairs of gloves come in the box, and on 3156 stiff new tips they get used from the first branch to the last.

Is 400 lights enough for a seven foot tree?

It is a soft level rather than a bright one, particularly on foliage this dense. The tree is designed around the tips rather than the bulbs. If you want more light, add your own string with a CSA, cUL or cETL mark on it.

How much room does it need?

4.5 ft across at the widest branches on a 20 inch base, so a five foot floor circle. It also needs about eight feet of ceiling once a topper goes on.

How heavy is it to move?

No weight figure is published, so we will not quote one. It comes apart into three sections plus the base, which is how a tree this size gets carried and stored by one person.

Does it take two people to set up?

Not necessarily. The sections are hinged and the base screw is pre-assembled, so one person can build it. A second pair of hands helps when the top section goes on.
