Padding you cannot take off
Sewn in comfort
A padded folding chair is wonderful in April and stifling in August, and if the padding is stitched to the frame there is nothing to be done about either. Wash it and the whole chair has to dry.
A mattress that unties
The mattress here is a separate piece 76 in by 24.5 in, held on by ropes that tighten around the frame. Untie them and the chair underneath is a plain fabric lounger for hot days. The neck pillow comes off the same way, and both go indoors for winter while the steel frame folds flat.
