How low is the seat?

Fourteen inches from the ground, with a 19.5 in by 19 in seat above it. That is lower than a dining chair and lower than most bistro seating. It is a lounging height, which is the point of a rocker.

How much floor does it take?

Can the set stay out over a Canadian winter?
