The chair that has moved by evening

A rocking chair on smooth decking or tile does not stay put. Each push edges it back a little, and after an hour the two chairs are further apart than you left them, or one has crept towards the steps.

Pads and strips under the runners

Each runner ends in an anti rollover foot pad with a non slip strip along it, and the maker fits adjustable stoppers to limit the swing. The chair rocks in place rather than walking off.

How far it actually rocks

Do both chairs rock, or just one?

Both. Each chair sits on its own pair of curved runners with an adjustable stopper to keep the arc short. The table does not move and has screw pads under its legs to hold it steady.

Are there cushions?

No, and that is the point of a sling set. The seat and back are one panel of stretched fabric. It dries in minutes, nothing blows away, and there is nothing to find space for in October.

How much weight will the chairs take?

The manufacturer prints 330 lb per chair and 66 lb for the table on its own dimension panel. Those are the maker's figures. We have not tested them.

Will it survive a Canadian winter outside?

The frame and sling can stay out under a cover. Glass is the part to think about: lift the tabletop somewhere sheltered, or at least keep snow and ice load off it, since repeated freezing and thawing is hard on any outdoor glass top.
