The crank does the work

From the side you can see the crank handle sitting on the pole at standing height. The twin canopy is heavy compared with a single, and winding it up beats wrestling a pull cord. The two halves rise together on one frame.

After the sun drops

Evening on a patio, lights on in the house behind. With the canopy still up the table keeps its own edges in the dark, which is the difference between people staying for coffee and people drifting inside. Nothing here is plugged in.

All eight chairs stack for storage, and six of them push right under the table when the patio needs to be clear.

Will the canopy really cover all eight seats?

The table is 71 in long, which is just under 6 ft. The canopy opens to 15 ft across, so there is roughly 4 ft of cover hanging past each end of the table. That is what reaches the end chairs. The umbrella stands 8 ft tall, so guests walk under it without stooping.

Does the umbrella base come filled?

No. The stand arrives with two empty weighted bags and you fill them yourself, up to 180 lb between them. Play sand from any hardware shop does the job. Fill them once the umbrella is standing where you want it, because 180 lb does not move easily.

Can the set stay outside through a Canadian winter?

The PE rattan and the metal frame handle cold and wet far better than natural cane, and Canadian patio guides put synthetic wicker in the leave-it-out group. The cushions and the canopy are the parts that suffer. Bring the cushions in dry, fold the umbrella down and store it, and the frames can stay put under a cover.

How much patio does this set need?

The table alone is 71 in by 35 in. Layout guides ask for about 3 ft of clear floor on every side of a dining table so chairs can pull back and people can walk behind them. That works out at roughly 12 ft by 9 ft of usable deck or patio, and the 15 ft canopy will overhang past that.
