10 FT Cantilever Patio Umbrella with Solar LED Lights for Pool and Garden-Gray

Charcoal grey over a hundred square feet of shade, hung from a braced arm so the ground underneath is completely open. The rim clears 7 feet, which is the most headroom of anything in this range. Six locked tilt settings, a foot pedal that swings the canopy right around, and solar LED beads with a centre light.

What the mast costs you

The pole lands where the table is most useful

A market umbrella sends its pole straight through the middle of the table. That is where the salad goes, that is where the candles go, and that is where one guest ends up sitting with a post against their shoulder.

Hang it in from the side

The post here stands on the paving beside the furniture and the braced arm carries the canopy across the top. A hundred square feet of shade lands on open ground, and at 7 feet the rim is high enough that walking under the edge is comfortable rather than a stoop.

One side carries everything

The post, the arm and the base all sit on the left of this picture and the canopy hangs to the right. The top down view shows a true square with LED beads running out along each rib. Shut, it folds into a narrow column against the post.

Over a sofa group after dark

A sectional has nowhere to take a pole, so this is the shape that shades one. Here the canopy covers the whole seating area with the post behind it, and the beads along the ribs with the centre light do the work of a lamp. The manufacturer rates the charge at roughly 6 to 8 hours.

Two separate adjustments

Tilt and rotation are different controls and this diagram shows both. The stepped canopies are the six tilt settings, each locked by a button. The insets at the bottom are the foot pedal, which releases the rotation so the whole canopy can swing around the post.

The gap between the layers

The crown is a second, smaller square raised above an opening in the main canopy. That opening is the vent. Wind coming up under a hundred square feet of fabric leaves through the top rather than trying to lift the lot, which is what keeps it settled on a breezy day.

What you get

Square 10 by 10 canopy

A hundred square feet of cover with actual corners, which is what a rectangular dining table needs.

Seven feet of headroom

The rim sits 7 ft off the ground, the most generous clearance in this range, so nobody ducks at the edge.

Six locked tilt settings

Press the button, lean the canopy, let go. It locks at the setting you chose rather than drifting back.

Foot pedal rotation

Step on the pedal and swing the canopy a full circle around the post. The loaded base never moves.

32 LEDs and a centre light

Beads run the ribs and a brighter light sits at the hub. About 6 to 8 hours after a full day of charging.

Two tier vented top

A gap between the two layers lets air climb out of the canopy instead of pressing up against all of it.

One button switch

The lights are on a switch, not a sensor, so they run when you are outside rather than all night.

Cross base in the carton

A 40 inch square cross frame ships with it, ready for the four weight plates you add separately.

Who is this perfect for?

Rectangular dining tables

A square canopy covers the corners and the end seats that a round one leaves sitting in the afternoon sun.

Tall households

Seven feet of clearance at the rim is unusually generous, so walking in and out from the edge is comfortable.

People who eat outside late

Thirty two beads and a centre light run for roughly 6 to 8 hours off the day's charge, with nothing plugged in.

Frequently asked questions

How much headroom is there under the canopy?

Seven feet at the rim and 8.6 feet at the crown, both from this product's own dimension drawing. That is unusually high for a cantilever and it means the edge of the canopy clears most adults rather than sitting at forehead height. The canopy itself covers 10 feet by 10 feet.

Does it come with a weighted base?

The 40 inch cross frame is included. The weights are not. This product's own dimension drawing asks for a 100 kg base, which is 220 lb. The description text on the same record says 90 lb, so the manufacturer's paperwork contradicts itself, and 220 lb is the figure we would work to. A cantilever hangs its whole canopy to one side of the post, so the ballast is doing real work.

What is the difference between the tilt and the rotation?

Tilt leans the canopy over, through six settings that lock with a button, and it is what you use against low sun. Rotation swings the whole canopy around the post on the foot pedal, and it is what you use to move the shade to a different part of the patio.

How do I get it through a Canadian winter?

Close it, let the canopy dry completely, wipe the post and store it dry. Canadian care guides point at the same two failures every time: snow sitting on an open canopy until a rib gives, and fabric folded away damp until mildew sets in.
