10 FT Cantilever Patio Umbrella with 360° Rotation for Garden-Tan

Getting a 10 foot umbrella into a garage in October is half the problem with owning one. This tan cantilever twists apart into two pole sections and the canopy fastens with a hook and loop strap. Set up, it spans 10 feet at the widest with 6.5 feet of clearance at the rim, turns a full circle on a knob, and has a dual vented top.

Where does it go in October?

A ten foot umbrella is awkward to put away

Canadian patio furniture spends half the year in storage. A one piece umbrella needs a clear nine foot run in the garage or the shed, which most people do not have, so it ends up leaning in a corner getting damp.

It comes apart and straps up

The pole joins on a twist in connection, so it separates into two sections without tools. A hook and loop strap fastens the folded canopy so nothing flaps loose. Packed that way it takes half the length, which is the difference between storing it properly and storing it in a corner.

Set up, and packed down

Two states of the same umbrella. Open, the canopy hangs from a braced arm well clear of the post. Folded, on the right, it draws into a slim column. The pole between the two comes apart at a twist in joint partway down, which is not obvious until you look for it.

Over a sofa group

Across a corner sofa the canopy covers the whole seating area with the post standing behind it. The inset shows the PA coated polyester, which the manufacturer describes as sun protective, water resistant and wear resistant. Rim height is 6.5 feet, crown 7.9 feet.

Turning it is a knob, not a pedal

Loosen the knob on the upper pole, turn the canopy to where the shade is wanted and tighten it back up. It is a two handed job and it takes a few seconds. Worth knowing before delivery, because it is different from the foot pedal models elsewhere in this range.

Why it does not sag

The green triangle marks the reinforced section that ties the arm back to the post, and the inset shows the metal rib system fanning out from the hub. Those two together are what hold a canopy that hangs entirely off one side. The dual vents at the crown take some of the wind pressure out.

What you get

Trigger handle lift

Squeeze the trigger and raise the canopy by hand. No crank gearing, which is one less thing to strip.

Turn the upper pole

Loosen the knob, turn the upper pole and the canopy swings to where the sun has gone. Then tighten it again.

Dual vented top

Two vents let air climb out of the canopy instead of pushing up against all of it on a gusty afternoon.

Reinforced triangular top

The arm is braced back to the post as a triangle, which is what stops a long overhang nodding in the wind.

Two section twist in pole

The pole joins with a twist rather than bolts, so it goes up without tools and stores at half the length.

PA coated polyester

The manufacturer describes the coated canopy as sun protective, water resistant and wear resistant.

Hook and loop strap

A strap fastens the closed canopy neatly to the post so it is not flapping against it all week.

Cross base included

A 40 inch square cross frame ships with it, ready for the weighted base you add separately.

Who is this perfect for?

Solid top garden tables

No hole needed anywhere. The post stands on the paving beside the table and the canopy reaches over the top.

Smaller budgets

This is the simple end of the cantilever shape: manual lift, no lighting, and the base bought when you are ready.

Tight winter storage

The pole twists apart into two sections and the strap holds the folded canopy, so it packs down small for the season.

Frequently asked questions

How small does it pack down?

The pole splits into two sections at the twist in joint and the canopy is held closed by a hook and loop strap. That halves the length you need to store, which matters in a garage or a shed. No packed dimensions are published in the record, so we are describing what the pole does rather than quoting a box size.

How wide is the canopy, and what is the clearance?

Ten feet at the widest point and 9.5 feet across, enough for a table of roughly 60 inches with six chairs or a corner sofa. The rim sits 6.5 feet above the ground and the crown 7.9 feet, so the middle is easy to walk under and the edge sits near head height.

What base does it need?

The 40 inch cross frame is included; the weights are not. The record gives two different numbers for what to add: the description text asks for 140 lb (64 kg) and this product's own dimension drawing asks for 220 lb. The manufacturer's paperwork disagrees with itself, and the higher figure is the safe one to work to, because the whole canopy hangs off one side of the post.

How does the shade move with the sun?

Loosen the knob on the upper pole, turn the canopy to where you want it and tighten the knob again. It rotates a full 360 degrees. There is no tilt setting published for this model, so the rotation is the only adjustment.
