How much shade does it give, and how much headroom?

The canopy is 10 feet across and the drawing puts its underside 6.5 feet off the ground, with the top of the arm at 8 feet. The manufacturer draws it beside a 6 foot figure, who clears it comfortably. Closed, it stands about 6 feet tall.

Are the sandbags or weights included?

No. A crossed metal base is included and the listing says it needs sandbags or a weighted base, not included, to hold it down. No weight is published, so fill or load it generously: a side post umbrella carries its canopy off centre.

How does the tilt work exactly?

Loosen the locking mechanism on the post, then move the handle up or down. The canopy follows and stays at whatever angle you lock it. There are no fixed notches.

What about wind and winter?
