Are batteries included?

No. Each tree takes three AA cells in its base, and they are not supplied. The switch is on the side of the base, so there is nothing to reach behind.

How bright are 24 bulbs?

Enough to read as a lit tree across a dark room, not enough to light one. At this size that is the right amount: more would look like a lamp rather than a decoration.

Do the branches bend?

Yes, each one individually, and they hold the angle. Spreading them out is the first thing to do after unboxing and it changes the tree completely.

Can I hang ornaments on them?

Small and light ones. The manufacturer says the branches support extra ornaments, but these are 24 inch twig trees, so think earrings rather than baubles.

Is there a timer?

None is published for this model, so none is claimed. The switch on the base is the whole control system.

Can they go outside?

The manufacturer lists them as indoor decorations and publishes no weather rating, so we would not put them out.
