Are the lights purple?

No, warm white. The colour is entirely in the foliage. On a dark tree white bulbs are the better choice, because coloured ones sink into the purple instead of lifting it.

How dark is deep purple?

Dark enough to read almost black from a distance when it is unlit, then clearly violet once the lights are on or in good daylight. The white background product shot shows it most honestly.

What are the iridescent PET leaves?

Glossy leaves mixed in among the matt PVC ones. They catch daylight and show colour shifts, which is what makes this a tinsel tree rather than a plain coloured one.
