Scale down a standard artificial tree and the needles stay the same size, which makes a three foot tree look like a toy version of a big one. The proportions are wrong and no amount of decoration hides it.

The two close ups show what makes this set different. The needles are long and fine, lying in loose sprays rather than packed as short stiff points. Flocked, they hold snow along their length instead of only at the tip. The counts are 30, 50 and 66 branch tips across the three sizes, which is low by design because each tip carries far more needle.

Three feet, four feet and five feet, on solid plates measuring 12 by 7 inches, 16 by 8 and 18 by 10. Those are small footprints, which is what lets all three stand in a hallway or a window without crowding it. Two pairs of gloves come with the set.

Daylight and after dark

The same three trees both ways. By day the flocking carries the look on its own, with the long needles catching light along their length. At night the 150 warm white bulbs, 30, 50 and 70 across the sizes, give a soft glow rather than a bright display. The manufacturer states the adaptor is UL approved.

Why are the tip counts so low?

Because each tip carries a long spray of needles rather than a short stiff cluster. Counting tips on a long needle tree does not compare with counting them on a dense fir, so the low figures here do not mean a sparse tree. The photographs show the real density better than the number does.

What is the difference between this set and the other trio in this range?

Needle style and light colour. This set uses long, fine pine needles and 150 warm white bulbs. The other uses shorter, denser foliage with far higher tip counts and 300 multicolour bulbs. Both come as 3, 4 and 5 ft trees.

Can the trees be used separately?

Yes. Each has its own solid metal base plate, so one can go in a hallway, one in a bedroom and one in a window. Grouping all three gives the stepped forest effect the manufacturer photographs.

Will the flocking shed?

Some will, mostly while the trees are being unpacked and positioned. Care guidance for flocked trees is to place them where they will stand, handle branches gently, and dust with a soft duster rather than vacuuming.
