What happens if one bulb goes out?

Better news than on most pre-lit trees. These are mini incandescent bulbs rather than sealed LEDs, and the package includes two spare bulbs and a replacement fuse. A failed bulb can be pulled and swapped, and a blown fuse in the plug can be changed, instead of losing a whole run for the season.

Can it stand away from the wall?

It can, but it is not meant to. The back is cut flat and the branches are concentrated on the front, so viewed from behind it looks like half a tree. Against a wall or in an alcove is where the shape works.

How much room does it need?

Two feet across the front and about a foot deep. That is a strip of floor rather than a circle. Allow the usual ceiling clearance of roughly a foot above the 7 foot tip for a topper.

Are these lights LED?

No. The manufacturer's own lighting panel describes mini incandescent bulbs and supplies spares, which is why replacement is possible here and not on a sealed LED tree. Incandescent bulbs run warmer and use more power than LEDs, so switch the tree off when the room is empty.
