The platforms rise in 7.5 inch steps to a top perch 11.5 inches across at 37 inches, on a base 19.5 square. Short steps like these are what make a tower usable for a kitten that cannot judge a jump yet, and again for a cat that has stopped making them.
Two fibres, two surfaces
The columns are wrapped in jute and three flat sisal mats are set into the boards. Jute is softer under a claw than sisal and the mats are horizontal rather than upright, so a cat gets two textures and two angles without leaving the tower.
A bowl, not a board
